“WE WANTED LEGION TO BE A SECOND HOME FOR REFUGEE CHILDREN STRANDED IN GREECE. WE PARTNER WITH OUR GRANTEES TO OFFER ‘AFTER SCHOOL’ PROGRAMS IN OUR OFFICES THAT NURTURE AND DEVELOP THESE BRAVE AND RESILIENT KIDS ON SOCIAL, CULTURAL, ARTISTIC AND ACADEMIC DIMENSIONS.”

LEGION IS A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

We pledge 1% of earnings from the Legion Group—Legion Group Arts LLC, Legion Group Arts Ltd. and Legion Group Arts Hellas S.A.—to the Legion Foundation (Switzerland). The Legion Foundation meets the needs of Greece’s most vulnerable children, from Greek children suffering under austerity to unaccompanied minor refugees caught up in the global migration crisis.

Greece’s unaccompanied minor refugees are protected by court-appointed guardians until they can be reunited with their families. Some are looked after by NGOs in group housing. Others reside with foster families. At our Athens headquarters, we provide space for the training and certification of interpreters under UNHCR protocols to address the global migration crisis in Greece and beyond.
